Often finding the proper holiday for whole family can be a struggle. Making an attempt to placate everyone seems to be not an easy task, so selecting the right location is essential. One such prime holiday location for all families to keep under consideration is Paris.

At first glance, the French capital may seem rather more catered to the mature crowd, with its plentiful historic attractions and various cultural locations. However , for the family-minded traveller, all that it takes is a little creativity and a little bit of forethought, and Paris can be a pleasant trip for the younger members of the family too. To help keep things interesting while on holiday, it can be a brilliant idea to take some day trips with youngsters. Paris has a range of family oriented options within an easy distance. One such destination might be Parc Asterix. This theme park was designed around the characters and plots of the Asterix comics, making this attraction a must for any fan. However , even for those only casually acquainted with the Asterix comics, the park has a good wealth of activities, including park rides, water activities, and shows.

Another easy short break that most kids find invigorating is Disneyland Paris. This world renowned theme park has countless opportunities for fun and recreation for the entire family. The rides are state of the art, and the characters are enchanting. All in all, a visit to Disneyland Paris is a way to give the youngsters a chance to run, play, and live out some of their most extravagant dreams. These family friendly options are good for a visit to Paris, still accessible to families who stay in the abundant Paris apartment. It should additionally be noted that folks don’t have to take their kids far to find something to keep the children entertained.

Many kids also appreciate the numerous parks spattered across the town, almost all of which are well-tended and picturesque, with plenty of space to play and explore. Most holiday makers find that there is at least one close to any of the Paris hostels or other well-liked attractions. Many families also enjoy a carousel ride, as there are many famous options in the town, with prominent prospects in the Parc du champ de Mars and in the Luxembourg Gardens.

Clearly, Paris can be the perfect vacation destination, with lots of appeal for the old and young alike.

Superb Value of Eurostar

October 4th, 2010

Eurostar has been named the World’s Leading Rail Service for over a decade. Since 1994, they have been providing top class services to more than 75 million customers to over 100 destinations across the UK and France.

Eurostar should not be confused with Eurotunnel, as they both travel The Chunnel, Eurostar is a passenger only train, where as Eurotunnel also shuttles vehicles, passengers, and other cargo. Eurostar reaches speeds reaching up to 186 miles an hour, and still manages to provide luxury and comfort for everyone on board the train. Any amenities that you may find that you would need on such a trip can be included in the price of your first class ticket, or may be purchased separately with a second-class ticket. While there are hot or cold meals offered, you may also bring your own food and drink on board with you.

Eurostar’s website offers tickets starting as low as $116 one-way; however, other websites may offer even lower rates. Purchasing of a rail pass does not cover your fare on Eurostar, however it will get you a special discounted rate. Booking your ticket online is also a good idea, as in many cases it is the most efficient and economical way. You should make sure that if you are going to book online that you book your tickets in advance, as Eurostar offers an up to 9 month advanced booking window, however during summer months that may be reduced down to only 4 months. Second-class tickets are subject to an additional fee if you need to make any changes or cancellations.

If you are comparing travel options between London and Paris, you may have noticed that some airfares appear to be less expensive. Airlines do not offer direct transportation to the city centers that Eurostar does, and may end up costing you more in cab fare alone to reach your final destination. If you are wishing for other destinations than Paris, Eurostar makes several other stops, including Brussels, Disneyland Paris, and the French Alps.

Therefore, if only for a day trip, or an extended traveling vacation, Eurostar trains are the way to travel. With affordable rates, top-notch service, beautiful destinations, and high-speed transit, Eurostar is the way to go. Book you r next trip with Eurostar and see why they have twelve years, and counting, of being dubbed The World’s Leading Rail Service.

Which Disneyland Rocks Your World?

September 2nd, 2010

If like me you are a Disneyland fresher, you are probably familiar with this dilemma. Which attraction is better, Disneyland Paris or Disneyland in America?

Maybe it isnt a question of which is better, but which is more viable for you to go to? Is money a concern? Do you have a huge family? Do you want to turn the experience into a holiday? All these considerations will shape your final decision.

So what are the pros and cons of each attraction?

Disneyland Paris – Pros

  • Practically identical to its American sister
  • Only a quick car drive or ferry ride from the UK
  • Located in Paris, it is close to other sights and attractions
  • Transport to the theme park is quite cheap

Disneyland Paris – Cons

  • Whilst it is similar to its counterpart, it is considerably smaller
  • The Themepark, like Paris, is reasonably expensive
  • The atmosphere maybe isnt captured like it is stateside

Disneyland – Pros

  • The original themepark
  • It is absolutely huge – there is little chance of boredom
  • The home of Disney and all the Disney characters
  • The experience – people often return more than once

Disneyland – Cons

  • It can cost a pretty penny to get there in the first place. Flights arent that cheap, especially not for a family.
  • Some people can find the experience daunting

So how do you make up your mind?

The real question is this; what do you really want out of the experience? Visiting Disneyland Paris might be the easiest option, but will it be the most rewarding? For a truly magical time, Disneyland in the US is likely to offer you much more, but does this justify the extra cost?

If youre going simply for the theme park and nothing else, choose Disneyland Paris. If the park attraction is only part of your adventure, choose Disneyland in the US for that little extra something.

Head Off For A Trip To Disneyland Paris Through The Channel Tunnel

August 5th, 2010

One of the best ways to give your kids a treat would be to take them to Disneyland Paris. You can get there quick and easy through the Channel Tunnel without having to worry about a boat being cancelled due to rough seas or having to endure terrible sea sickness for the same reason. The crossing form Folkestone to Calais only takes thirty five minutes and once you have gone through the tunnel you are only a few hours away from Disneyland – it normally takes about four hours. Not only is this a convenient way of travelling to this fabulous location but it is also one of the cheapest.

Because there is a lot to see and do at Disneyland Paris, it would be a good idea to spend at least a couple of days there. Although you could conceivably get there and back in one day, it would probably not be much fun and your kids would not thank you for putting them back in the car again after such a long day; you would have to brace yourself for quite a bit of complaining. We can take day trips to the continent now but it really is best to spend more than one day there. Luckily there are some reasonably priced accommodation possibilities near to the resort.

Disneyland Paris is something that kids just love and driving there is a great and affordable option. You also get to see a bit of France along the way; to see more why not add a couple of days and visit a few more places. Because you will have your own car, the continent is your oyster and you can just head wherever you like once you have had your fill of Disneyland. However, you will probably find more than enough to keep you occupied in Disneyland – at least for one trip. The Channel Tunnel makes the whole trip so much easier and pleasant and makes visiting Paris as easy as visiting a city in the UK.

Today, more and more families are taking the car and driving to their holiday destination abroad. Many people head to the South Coast to grab theferry to france. Doing this means you dont have to worry about things like the channel tunnel prices. And what better way to get to France for some Calais shopping?
